I have been under the weather as of late. I had a fever and was very achy and sore. The Child wanted to sit on my lap, so I told her she could, but she had to be very gentle. She said "Okay, Mama, I'll be gentle." She climbed into my lap then told me to bend my face down to hers. I did and she gave me an Eskimo kiss and butterfly kisses on my cheek. What a sweetie.
Today, I had to go to the doctor today for some breathing treatments. The Child was not happy about this, and was trying to convince me to stay home. At one point she walked over with her Dora Backpack full of little toys and said, "It's okay, Mom. I'm a doctor." It was hilarious and sweet and reminded me of something else she used to do....
Several years ago my husband worked at a tire place and as a result, we had tons of these little screwdriver type tools all over the house. One day she was playing Doctor with one of these tools. She came at Daddy with it and when she saw the look of concern (and maybe fear) on his face she gave him a very serious look and said "Don't say 'Ow'."
